PEASANT prides itself on leaving no waste. We try to create as much as we can from all materials used and respect the gifts of nature in the work.

Bill Curno is a 3rd generation, award-winning woodworker with a long lineage that dates all the way back to his great grandfather, whose mallet he still uses to this day. Growing up in these workshops Bill’s love affair with timber started at a young age.

Born out of a desire to utilise otherwise discarded bits of wood, sustainability is at the heart of all PEASANT products.
Now specialising in sourcing rare exotic and native timbers Bill manages to pay homage to tradition while breathing new life into the profession.

Drawing on over 10 years’ experience PEASANT creates pieces that are not only functional but beautiful in their own right.
Handcrafting new forms out of the raw material to create wooden objects of fluid form inspired by nature.
